Got back to Chicago today. My car was full of vital goods, clothes, books, and most importantly, food, but I decided to go upstairs first and take a nap before I brought everything in. When I woke up it was raining like Old Testament outside and now I'm stranded in the apartment. So I'm eating Quaker Oatmeal Squares instead of cookie cake and watching Simpsons season 3 instead of season 8. So we're talking post-Katrina conditions here.

The good news: I thought I lost a hefty uncashed check courtesy Craigslist on the way to Atlanta, but it turns out I left it on my nightstand the whole time. Put that on your 6:00 news.
